Carmel jazz students stole the show at the 40th Annual North Shore Music Festival. The ensembles placed better than they have in years under the direction of Bryan Grabowski, Bill Chapin, and Tim Barclay.

Jazz band received 3rd places and Jazz Combo received 2nd place.

Senior Michael Jones thinks the festival went extremely well.

“I though we did an exceptional job for not having out singer or director present. I think we are capable of 1st place next festival,” Jones said.

The ensembles’ next competition is on February 25th and the hope of getting the gold is on the ensembles’ minds.
