After winning against St. Patrick’s at the last home game, the Carmel football has secured their spot in the playoffs. Their first playoff game is tomorrow, but the preps are anything but child’s play for these 52 boys.

“We’re practicing less hours, but it doesn’t mean less work,” senior Joey Ptasienski said. “Everybody wants to win this game.”

They’re playing St. Charles North which has an impressive season record of 9-1, but that’s not stopping the Corsairs from putting their all into the upcoming game.

“We can definitely beat them,” senior George Curran said. “I hope we have some people to cheer us on though.”

Even though it’s the post-season, they still know there’s room for improvement.

“Practice has a lot to do with the outcome of our games,” senior Nick Snarski said. “If we have a good week of practice, it will show in the game.”

The game is at St. Charles North and starts at 1:00 pm. Student section leaders have chosen Halloween as the theme and encourage everyone to come and help cheer on the Corsairs to another victory.
