Fill me up!

Dear Crossroads readers,

We are back and better than ever.

Last year, Crossroads made the jump from paper to print in order to bring you, our loyal followers, the most up-to-date content possible. To keep the ball rolling this year, we are going to extend our coverage to every end of Carmel.

That means we’ll be at each and every game, competition, and event, bringing you regular postings on the daily. Carmel is become techy-er by the day, so that means that we’ll be doing the same. Keep an eye out for more photos and videos.

We spent the summer preparing for the upcoming year and couldn’t be more excited to kick off our coverage.

Megan geeked out in Washington D.C. at a journalism conference where she met Hoda Kotb, host of the TODAY Show, Brian Lamb, CEO and co-founder of CSPAN, and Carol Guzy, Pulitzer Prize winning photographer. She was also in a video featured on the TODAY show, and her pitch was chosen as a front page story for the conference’s journalism simulation. Megan learned some tips and tricks from the best of the best, and basically got super hype about news.

Grace interned at a financial management company in Chicago and got a sense of how a successful company runs smoothly. She’ll help the team work on acting like…well…a team.

But what we really want is to tailor Crossroads to the needs of Carmel. Afterall, what would we be without our fan base? So if you see one of us in the hall, at a football game, or in the cafeteria, flag us down and tell us how we’re doing. Your feedback is important.

Last but not least, we’d like to congratulate everyone on the start of another school year. Goodluck, and go Corsairs!
